"Prayer is not overcoming God's reluctance; it is cooperating with His highest willingness" - E. Stanley Jones
It was truly a memorable and exciting time for us who attended the Global Day of Prayer. Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Christians from all churches came together for the sole purpose of seeking God's face.
About 25 persons from our Christalite Chapel went by car pool transport on Sunday, 11 May this year. The event was well organized and a coupon system ensured that there was no advance "chopeing" (reservation) of seats allowed. The anticipated crowd overflow did not happen partly due to the clash with Mother's Day celebrations and the inclusion of an additional Mandarin Prayer Service earlier in the day.

If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. - 2Ch 7:14
The following prayer was transcribed from the musical "If My People" sung by the Continentals in the 70's. It is as relevant today as it was then.
Sovereign Lord, we thank you for our nation and for its godly heritage. So long as we've walked in Your ways, You have faithfully poured out Your bounties upon us. So long as we've acknowledged and served You, You've kept us a free people, but in our prosperity, we've forgotten that all we are and have we owe to Your love and grace. Many in our land have forgotten the God who made them. Many deny even the basic concept of law; selfishness and greed, distrust and thanklessness, hatred and indifference to suffering abound. Immorality and perversion, profanity, blasphemy are on every hand.

Some years ago the Lord revealed to me in a vision, the condition of the church and how she was not ready for revival. In the vision, I saw gentle rain pouring down on a house. The house did not have a roof. The walls, doors and windows were only half completed. Clearly it was not liveable.
